Overview

The world’s largest open-air museum – this is Luxor. This half a million city, in ancient times called Veset or Thebes, is located about 300 km south of Hurghada. We will visit the famous Karnak temple here and the newly restored historical path called the Sphinx Alley, which more than three thousand years ago connected the Luxor and Karnak temples. Then we will board a ship that will take us from the east bank of the Nile to the west bank. We will visit the Colossi of Memnon – huge statues representing the Egyptian pharaoh Amenhotep III, which once stood in front of the entrance pylon of the mortuary temple of this pharaoh. Then we will explore the famous Valley of the Kings, where Tutankhamun’s tomb was discovered in 1922. Then we will visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut. We will also visit the alabaster factory and papyrus museum, which are a great opportunity to buy unique souvenirs.
